Setting Up Your Firm Profile in LeanLaw

How to configure your law firm's profile in LeanLaw — including firm name, address, logo, invoice defaults, and subscription management.

Your firm profile stores the foundational information LeanLaw uses across the product — from how your firm name appears on invoices to your billing defaults. Getting this right at the start ensures consistency across all client-facing documents.

 

Where to Find Firm Profile Settings

Firm profile settings are managed in Settings → Firm Setup (click the gear icon ⚙️ → Firm Setup in the left-hand menu). You must have Firm Setup access enabled.

 

Firm Info

Configure the core details that appear on invoices and throughout LeanLaw:

  • Firm Name — Appears on invoices and client-facing documents
  • Type of Business — This impacts how certain things in LeanLaw are displayed such as Matters being shown as Projects
  • Address — Firm mailing address used on invoices

Subscription

To view or manage your LeanLaw subscription:

  1. Click the gear icon ⚙️ to open Settings.
  2. Navigate to Subscription in the left-hand menu.

From here you can:

  • View or Upgrade your current plan
  • Update your Billing Email or Payment method
  • Download invoices

💡 Tip: Your subscription cost adjusts automatically as you add or remove users. Review your active user list periodically to ensure you're not being billed for inactive team members.
